There is always a limit to howmuch any country to take...



We friends were just chit-chatting when the arguments turned towards politics and vadi refereed about the Bluestar opearation. Frankly I've no idea wat he is refering to. Latter I googled and was really ashamed of my ignorance of such a important historic event in India,
- without which we would have lost Punjab,
- which eventually triggered (or major reason) the assasination of Indra Gandhi,
I'm really ashamed..

Brar [full named Kuldip Singh Brar] is probably the most protected army officer today, in service or retired. And all because one fateful night, 20 years ago, the then major general commanded Indian Army soldiers who entered the Golden Temple.
Operation Bluestar, as the mission was called, to flush out militants (Khalistan movement) from the holiest Sikh shrine remains till date one of the military's most difficult & controversial missions.
















When asked about Bhindranwale [a highly decorated army officer who, after being dismissed from service for financial irregularities, became a close accomplice of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale - the man responsible for the Khalistan movement] who was behind the militants ,Brar says,

He was a very seasoned soldier who won the Mahavir Chakra [India's second highest bravery award in war] in 1971, who had to leave the army for whatever reason. He was a highly emotional person and had joined with Bhindranwale. Perhaps he believed that with the pilgrims inside, the Indian Army would not come in but he never realised there is always a limit to how much any country can take...

Well, This is a DARING decisions (taken by Indira Gandhi), well plannead and executed by Indian Army with minimum damage. It would be too immature for me to comment on this, but it is totally unfair to be and Indian, without knowing this, Thanks Vadi!!
